Mr. Evans was a member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. A sister, Gay Johnson and two brothers, infant Johnny Evans and Charles Franklin Evans preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Gaye Martin Evans, a brother, James O. Evans, Jr. of Oak Hill and a sister, Frances Loving of Toledo, OH. Funeral services will be on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the Fayetteville United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with Rev. Clare Sulgit-Horn officiating. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 4 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Allen Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. on June 4, 2015.2
