William Joseph Long III was buried at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont, Frederick Co., Maryland.¹ He William Joseph "Bill" Long, III, 53, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, with his family by his side. He will be sorely missed by his wife, Melissa Long. Born on June 14, 1969, in Bethesda, MD, he was the son of Laurita (Cannaday) Long and William (Cheryl) Long, Jr. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by children, Josh (Kayla), Adam (Anastasia) , and Logan; sister, Lisa M. (Mike) Kroher; and five grandchildren. He spent his school years in Thurmont, graduating from Catoctin High School in 1987. After graduating, he enlisted in the Air Force. He served in the Air Force as a Nuclear Technician for three years in Grand Forks, North Dakota. After his honorable service in the Air Force, in 1991, Bill joined the Maryland State Police. Bill served his community as a highway patrolman, motorcycle patrol officer, and firearms instructor. Eventually, Bill retired from the Maryland State Police, in 2011, after 20 fantastic years of service. He then continued his service to his country by completing two year long contracts with Dyncorps in support of military operations in Afghanistan. After his final tour overseas, he spent a few years working odd jobs here and there until he finally found another family at Krietz Auto. Over the last year, Bill became a respected member of their service department. He was known for his exceptional service and always upbeat attitude. He spent his final year as part of their wonderful team filling the “Professional Fist Bumper” position and he will be greatly missed by all. Final resting place ceremonies, with honors, will be held at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont.¹ He married Melissa Unknown.¹ William Joseph Long III was born on June 14, 1969 at Bethesda, Montgomery Co., Maryland.¹ He married Kristen Mary Campbell on July 11, 1988 at Grand Forks, Grand Forks Co., North Dakota.² William Joseph Long III died on June 14, 2022 at Frederick, Frederick Co., Maryland, at age 53.¹

Agnes Allie Graham was buried at Lake View Cemetery, Howell, Livingston Co., Michigan.⁶ She was born on December 9, 1881 at Sowers, Floyd Co., Virginia.^5,2 As of August 6, 1914,her married name was White.⁵ She married Milford Laney White on August 6, 1914 at Montgomery Co., Virginia; Her obituary has a marriage date of Aug 9, 1914.^1,6,5,2 Agnes Allie Graham died on May 16, 1935 at Howell, Livingston Co., Michigan, at age 53.² She Agnes Allie Graham, eldest child and only daughter of James and Emily Whitlock Graham, was born at Sowers, Virginia, December 9, 1881, and passed away May 16 at the McPherson Memorial Hospital, after an illness of three weeks of blood poisoning. She was united in marriage to Milford Lanie White, August 9, 1914. To this union three daughters were born, Elizabeth A., Justine Thay, and Oakie L., and two sons, Milford Lanie Jr. and Aurice Dean. She leaves besides her immediate family, two brothers, Payton and Clayton and several nieces and nephews in Virginia. Two other brothers died in infancy. Besides these near relatives, she leaves a host of friends and neighbors who will miss her. July 1926, they came to make their home in Michigan. She was member and willing worker of the Happy Hour Circle of her neighborhood. She always greeted her friends with a pleasant and happy smile that made one feel she was a real friend. Interment was made in the Fleming Cemetery. on May 22, 1935.²

The house was located on Route 4, nine miles north of Floyd, and was consumed by flames sometime during the night. A neighbor, Cline Pugh, who lives about a quarter of mile awoke at 3 a.m. and discovered the smoking ruins of the place. Commonwealth's Attorney J. H. Poff, Sheriff Ora Williams and Dr. F. C. Bedsaul, coroner, were called to the scene, and examination of the debris revealed a part of a skull and other bones which were brought to the Mayberry funeral home here pending further investigation. Seen Earlier Graham had been seen feeding his stock late Monday afternoon, neighbors reported. Well known in Floyd county, Grahame is survived by his wife and ten children: Harding and Hansom, both at home, Mrs. Iva G. Hodges, Radford; Mrs. Mary Switzer, Detroit; May, Floyd; Evangeline, Radford; Mrs. Edith McBride, Radford; Mrs. Paul M. Winn, West Virginia; Atha, Florida, and Mrs. Richard Williams, of Floyd; a brother and several sisters. on February 13, 1946.¹⁰

Mrs. Powell was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary to Jack London Post No. 480 in California, Survivors include daughter, Judy Powell; her father of Sonoma; two sisters, Mrs. Thay Priest of Howell and Mrs. Okie Blann of San Francisco, California; and a brother, Dean White of Northville. Her mother and one brother are deceased. Interment was in Lakeview cemetery. on April 25, 1956.⁶

Survivors include five daughters, Camio Langland, Lylene Phillips, Linda Howard, Susan Lampert and Brenda Phillips; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thay Bonnell. on February 1, 1998.¹⁴
