He is the beloved husband of 74 years of the late Estelle Wimmer and loving father of Toni Cornwell and the late Roger Alan Wimmer. He is also survived by his grandson Donald Cornwell, Jr. and his wife Camilla, two great grandchildren, Steffen and Maia Cornwell. Tony is the brother of Irene Willis of Chesapeake, Virginia and the late Cecil Wimmer, Windel Wimmer, Ruby Helms and Christine Willis. Mr. Wimmer served in the US Army in WWII and Korea. After retiring in 1977 as a warehouseman for a trucking firm, he moved to Roanoke, Virginia to operate a lawn mower repair facility. He was a 1957 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and received a dental degree from Georgetown University in 1964. He served in the Air Force from 1964 to 1966. He was a member of the board of directors of the Covington Towers condominium association in Ocean City, where he owned a second home. During retirement, he volunteered at the Suburban Hospital Cardiac Cath Lab. He had been a Potomac resident since 1970.
