She enjoyed gardening and doing crafts but her grandchildren were her greatest joy. Liz was preceded in death by her father, Shirley A. Peters; brothers, Rodney Peters, Terry Peters. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Steve Hodges; children, Faye Hodges Erchull and her husband, Tony, Lee Hodges; mother, Maxine Peters; four grandchildren, Caleb, Mason, Dawson and Peyton Erchull; sisters, Susan Pittman, Patsy (Grover)Stump, Cindy (David) Waldron; dog, Max; numerous nieces and nephews.⁴ She was born on May 16, 1956 at Roanoke, Virginia.^6,5 As of March 16, 1974,her married name was Hodges.⁶ She married Daniel Steve Hodges on March 16, 1974 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,6,4 Clara Elizabeth Peters died on January 9, 2019 at Check, Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 62.⁴

Chad, a beloved father and cherished friend, is survived by his four children: Dillon Waldron, Logan Waldron, Cassidy Hunt, and Isabelle Waldron. He is also survived by his father, David Waldron, and his brother, Kyle Waldron. Chad was a dedicated lead maintenance technician at Roanoke Electric Steel Mill, now known as Steel Dynamics, where his hard work and commitment were highly valued. He was deeply involved in charity work and benefit rides with ABATE, reflecting his generous spirit and dedication to helping others. In pursuit of his entrepreneurial dreams, Chad transitioned from Steel Dynamics to establish Waldron Landscaping. Through this venture, he continued to touch lives with his expertise and personal touch. His loving and caring nature, combined with his talkative and humorous personality, endeared him to many and earned him numerous friends. Chad’s legacy is one of kindness, hard work, and unwavering support for those around him. His death comes a week after Virginia State Police reported Chad Cicero Waldron, 46 of Check, VA, had died shortly after the August 24 crash, but police retracted that when a hospital said he was still on life support. A Virginia State Police trooper attempted to pull over Waldron, who was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle after observing the driver traveling south on I-581 at 115 miles per hour, according to police. The driver of the motorcycle refused to stop and exited the interstate onto Orange Ave, traveling toward Melrose Ave at 120 mph, according to police. Police say Waldron continued through Salem on Electric Road, where he lost control and crashed. on September 3, 2024.⁸
