In addition to her parents, her husband, James Oliver Pettrey; three sisters, Lois Wiley, Marie Burnes, and Beulah Kilby; one brother, Owen Pardue; and one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Pettrey preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, James O. "Jim" Pettrey Jr. of Prichard; one daughter, Jerlene Harvey and husband Charles of Princeton with whom she made her home; five grandchildren, Larry Shepard and wife Pearline, Theresa Shepard, Marie Mathis all of Prichard, Lawton Shepard and wife Kelly and Susie Doss all of Fort Gay; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Irene Ashley of Prices Fork, Va; special friend, Don Tennant of Princeton; and dog, Katie. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. on May 9, 2006.²
