She has five grandchildren, Scot (Lori) Taylor, Michael Edwards, Nancy (Rodney) Ball, Kristie Edwards, and Molly Page. Also, she has five great-grandchildren, Michaela and Mikie Edwards and Brianna, Morgan and Madison Ball. Also surviving her are special foster sisters, Genevieve McCollam of South Charleston, and Nancy Ratliff of Columbus, Ohio. She was a Christian and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Doyle Young officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 4, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. The family would like to thank Dr. John Lilly for the many years he served as Lona's physician, to Thomas Memorial Hospital for their kindness and support the past month, and to Hubbard Hospice House the past two days. on October 3, 2010.²

Also preceding her in death was Luke Lovejoy, Clyde Page and one grandchild and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her four children, Fred, Donna, Linda, Ernie; and a sister, Fay Huffman; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be Sunday, July 8, at 1:30 p.m., with visitation from 12:30 p.m. until service time, at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home. on July 6, 2018.¹
