She is survived by her husband of almost 21 years, David O. Conner; having just recommitted their marriage vows on their 20th wedding anniversary; son, David W. Conner; mother, Mabel Harden; brothers, John, Jim, William, Bobby and Ronnie Harden; sisters, Tammy Sauer, Bonnie Robertson, Ilene Adkins, Janet Conner, Betty Perdue; father-in-law, Owen Conner, brothers-in-law, Eric, Wes, and Wayne Conner; sisters-in-law, Elaine Mowbray, Cynthia Conner, Peggy Conner, Susan McGee, and Diane Bosta. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Coopers Cove Baptist Church Cemetery. on July 14, 2008.⁴

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. from the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with the Rev. John Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. A memorial service will be held at McKendree Village at a later date. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. She left this world surrounded by her loved ones. Libby was born on November 7, 1927, in Clifton Forge, Virginia. She was a graduate of Clifton Forge High School and went on to become an X-ray technician. She was a substitute teacher in York County for many years and later worked with handicapped children at Botetourt Elementary School. Libby was preceded in death by her best friend and loving husband of 56 years, Edward T. Wright, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bertha Craft; stepmother, Lois Craft; and a brother, Bobby Craft. Libby is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Ellen Wilson and husband, Mike; her daughter, Ann Howell and husband, Murray; and a son, Edward T. Wright, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Liz. 'Nana' Libby leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Carrie, Courtney and her husband, James, Catelyn and her husband, Gordon, and Cassie, Josh, Jake, Hercy and Socy, and Taylor, Ian, Zach, and Emily; and five great-grandchildren. Libby is survived by two sisters, Jayne Craft Putnam and Donna Craft; and a brother, Jimmy Craft. The family expresses extreme gratitude to Jonnie Forrest for taking wonderful care of their mother for the past year. They would also like to thank Pat and the staff of Hospice for the care they gave to Libby. The family will gather with friends at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Andrews Funeral Home for a processional to a graveside service at Windsor Gardens Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at the home that Libby shared with Mike and Ellen Wilson, 5599 Payne's Point Road, Gloucester.
