Hazel May Dillon Graveside service for Hazel May Jackson, 80, Kuna, who died of natural causes Thursday, July 4, at home, will be held 2 p.m. Monday, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, by the Rev. Kenneth B. Britt, of the First Christian Church, Nampa, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa. She was born May 31, 1905, at Kirk, Colo., a daughter of Eli and Effie Stanley Dillon, and was reared and educated in Colorado. She married Samuel Ernest Jackson on June 13, 1923, at Burlington, Colo. They lived in Colorado until moving to Idaho in 1950. They lived in the Boise and Nampa area until 1976. Her husband died Dec. 7, 1976. She was known to everyone as "Grama Jackson." She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn (Mrs. Don) Bennett of Kuna, and Betty (Mrs. Lee) Morrow of Fraser, Colo; four sisters, Bertha Hill of Grandby, Colo., Hattie Anderson and Tillie Packer, both of Denver, and Rillie Shannon of Sedalia, Mo; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They moved in 1950 to Nampa where he worked Tiller Coal Co., and retired in 1973. Surviving are his wife, Nampa; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Evelyn) Bennett, Kuna, and Mrs. Lee (Betty) Morrow, Fraser, Colo; a brother, Alfred, Wray, Colo; a sister, Mrs. Walter Ingals, Kirk, Colo., five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, a brother and an infant son. on December 9, 1976.3

Lois Marie Burks Lois Marie Burks Poff of Glen Arm, MD, passed away in her home with family at her side on October 9, 2025. She was born May 11, 1940 in Kimball, WV, on Burks Mountain. She lived all of her adult life in Floyd County, Virginia, until she moved to Baltimore in 2022. There, she lived in the Glen Meadows Retirement Community. She was the daughter of the late Alex Burks and Ida Sizemore Burks. Lois was a devoted wife and mother of two children. She loved her family especially her children and tried to raise them to be happy, healthy, and productive individuals. She wanted her children to love God and to follow him. Lois loved reading, sewing, and traveling. She served the Lord and loved her church family. In her former church she taught Sunday school for 30 years. She was church treasurer for 20 years. At Glen Meadows, she volunteered on the Chapel Committee, enjoyed having dinners with and visiting with her friends, going to Bible study, and playing Thursday night bingo. She also helped make thousands of cookies for a charity bakery and helped make baby blanket Christmas gifts for Santa’s Helpers Anonymous. Giving to others and lending a hand to people in need was something she was always looking to do. Lois is survived by her daughter, Cathy Poff (husband, Jim Obert) of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Emily Obert (husband, Alan Hejl), and the newest love and joy of her life, great-granddaughter, Nora, all of Ferndale, Michigan. Also surviving is one sister, Maggie Moody; two sisters-in-law, Betty Burks Blevins, and Judy Burks; and special friend and companion, Lewis Beckner and his family. Interment will follow in the Willis Cemetery.2 She was buried at Willis Cemetery (also known as Keith Cemetery), Rt. 221 at Rt. 764, Willis, Floyd Co., Virginia.2,3 She was born on May 11, 1940 at Kimball, McDowell Co., West Virginia.1,2,3 She married Carl Nelson Poff Sr., son of Carl Lindsey Poff and Alreda Blanch Weeks, on September 12, 1959 at Floyd Co., Virginia.1,4,3 As of September 12, 1959,her married name was Poff. Lottie Mae Poff Lottie Mae Poff Radford, 93, of Floyd, went to be with the Lord on Sunday December 21, 2025. Lottie loved gardening. She canned, froze, and dried everything she grew. She planted flowers and loved spring when the wild azaleas were in bloom. She spoke lovingly and with laughter about her dear friend Myrum Janney. How they walked the mountains to find walnuts and hickory nuts. She loved music, square dancing and won trophies for “Flat Footing’”. She was one of the groups that started the Floyd Rescue Squad Auxiliary and worked faithfully for many years. Lottie was born on July 18, 1932, to Ennis and Evelyn Poff, both deceased. She was also predeceased by her brother: Milton Poff; and sister: Edith Janney Flint; and her husband: Eston Radford. She married Eston on July 2, 1949, at the age of 16 and they were married for 63 years until his passing in 2013. She is survived by brother and sister-in-law: Robert Nelson Poff & Millie Poff; sister: Lillian Oyler; Many nieces and nephews who loved her. Lottie was straight forward when she talked with you, but also kind and funny. She will be missed by many. She was grateful for the care she received while at Skyline Manor Nursing and Rehab. She loved her dogs, and operated her own dog business out of her home in Vinton for quite a number of years. She enjoyed dancing, the beach, fishing, and having good times with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton E. Poff. She is survived by her son, Jim Poff, and grandson, Jason Poff, of Nashville, Tenn; daughter, Carolyn Poff Mazingo of Boones Mill; granddaughter, Tiffany M. Loughlin; and great-grandchildren, Autumn Stinnette, Kirkland Loughlin, all of Roanoke. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Trinity Mission, Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, Mary Mack and friends during her life and death. on September 13, 2015.2
