     Treva Mae Wheeling was buried at Dudley Cemetery, Fagg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.¹ She was born on October 7, 1937 at Virginia.² She married Kenneth Leon Martin, son of Dorris William Martin and Nina Victoria Cole, on November 6, 1961 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.² As of November 6, 1961,her married name was Martin.² Treva Mae Wheeling and Kenneth Leon Martin were divorced on March 1, 1973 at Floyd Co., Virginia.² Treva Mae Wheeling died on January 25, 2010 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 72.¹ She Treva Mae Wheeling Martin, 72, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away suddenly on Monday, January 25, 2010, at home with her son by her side. She was preceded in death by her mother, Macie Bryant Wheeling; father, Oakley Wheeling; sisters, Helen Trump, Edith Gillespie, Rebia Scott, and Maxie Allen; and grandson, Travis Martin. Left behind to cherish her memory is a son, Larry Oakley Martin; brother, Buford Wheeling; sister, Christine Wheeling Akers; aunt, Norina Dudley; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. J. Michael Payne, Dr. John White, the members of the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, and to all the kind nurses and staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dusty Etter officiating. Interment will follow in the Dudley Cemetery in Fagg, Va. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Friday at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, Va. on January 26, 2010.¹

Charles is survived by sister, Coriene Walters Dooley and husband, Fredric; brother, Jackie Calvin "Jack" Walters and wife, Teresa; nephew, Jason Walters and wife, Katie, and their children, Owen and Evelyn "Evie" Walters; and niece, Ashley Walters and her children, Alivea Greenway, twins, Aiden and Asher Underwood. His "family" and buddies at Carrington Place, especially his very special buddy, Leah Paibanas, who could always make a bad day happy and sunny. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to the entire staff at Carrington Place who were special to him and always made sure he had trips out, was properly shaved and dressed and at his meal times had something he especially liked, including a favorite, watermelon. Your love, compassion, and excellent professional care of him under all circumstances will always be remembered and appreciated. We wish to thank those from Good Samaritan Hospice and Southern Care Hospice. A Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Stuart Kelly, Pastor of Trinity Church of the Brethren. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 128, Daleville, Va. 24083. Pastor Kelly helped Charles with his decision to give his life for Christ. Shortly after that decision, it was a very happy time for him when his buddy Leah, transported Charles to his church on a Sunday. on November 10, 2010.¹
