He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, V.F.F. and Disabled Veterans of America. Robert was a member of South City Christian Church of Lake Charles. He is survived by his wife, Rose Poff; daughter, Peggy Moots and husband John; three granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his two daughters, a son, a brother and a sister. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, in Johnson Funeral Home. Pastor David Veillon will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday. on July 20, 2010.²
