He was born on August 28, 1922, the second of seven children of the late Benjamin Harris Bohon and Vera Minnie Reed Bohon. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Ferguson Bohon; brother, Carl Shelton Bohon; and sisters, Merlo Nadine Bohon Werner and Kathryn Sue Bohon Black.Sanford is survived by his wife of 71 years, Eula Marie Ferguson Bohon; his children, Roger Lee Bohon and wife, Donna, of Roanoke, Elaine Bohon Buzzell and husband, Jon, of Wichita, Kan., Sanford Reed Bohon Jr. and wife, Cathlene, of Roanoke, Cynthia Jane Bohon Forth and husband, Richard, of Roanoke, and Darlene Bohon Spencer and husband, Randy, of Roanoke; 15 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; brother, Benjamin Harris Bohon Jr. of Roanoke; sisters, Lillie Marie Bohon Bowles and Nelda Vera Bohon Christean, both of Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sanford was a hard worker and active in many areas. He faithfully served in the military during World War II until he was severely wounded and returned home. He was an auto-parts sales person for Auto Spring and Bearing Company in Roanoke with 39 years of service. He worked his own farm and raised cattle. He served in various leadership roles of his church and was a "jack of all trades," as he built several homes in the area.A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5836 Cotton Hill Road, Roanoke, with Elder Neil Bohon conducting and President Roger L. Bohon speaking. Interment will be held at Ferguson Family Cemetery, Roanoke County with Military Honors. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2015, at Oakey's South Chapel, 4257 Brambleton Avenue, Roanoke. on November 26, 2015.4

     Merlo Nadine Bohon was buried at Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, Utah Co., Utah.2 She was born on November 1, 1924 at Virginia.1 She married Johnson Kent Werner on February 9, 1944 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah.1,2,3 As of February 9, 1944,her married name was Werner. Merlo Nadine Bohon died on November 2, 2011 at Utah at age 87.2 She On November 2, 2011 an elegant lady, Merlo Bohon Werner returned to our Heavenly Father and the waiting arms of her husband, Johnson Kent Werner. Merlo was born in Virginia in 1924 to Benjamin Harris Bohon and Vera Minnie Reed. She was the third of seven children. From an early age Merlo was a great seamstress. She could sew anything, fix anything, or create anything with just about any material and it would look perfect. Merlo met the love of her life while he was serving as an LDS missionary. She married Kent in the LDS Salt Lake Temple in 1944 while he was serving in US Army during World War II. After the war was over, the couple moved to New Mexico along with their new child and began family life. Three more children joined the family in New Mexico before they moved to California. In California one more child became part of the family. Merlo was a dedicated mother and wife. She always worked hard to care for and support her children. The girls were never without a new homemade dress and she even tailored suits for the boys. Merlo was great at making the family income stretch further than almost anyone. Merlo served in many callings in the LDS Church. As Relief Society president she even once gave away the family's Thanksgiving dinner to help a needy family. Her service for others was boundless. Merlo is survived by her five children, Brenda (Phil), Bunny (Leland), Mark (Laurie), Marsha (Chad) and Jay (Leslie). Brothers Sanford and Ben, sisters Lillie and Nelda, 25 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren also survive her. Merlo was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kent, brother Carl, sister Kathryn and great granddaughter Ashlynn. There will be a viewing on Saturday November 12 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 So. 2300 East Salt Lake City, Utah. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at the Pleasant Grove, Utah Cemetery where she will be buried next to Kent. on November 11, 2011.2

She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Annie Ferguson, husband of 71 years Sanford R. Bohon, Sr. and sons Jeffrey F. Bohon and Sanford R. Bohon, Jr. Surviving to cherish her memory are son Roger and wife Donna, daughter Elaine and husband Jon Buzzell, daughter-in-law Cathy Bohon, daughter Cynthia and husband Richard Forth and daughter Darlene and husband Randy Spencer; sister Lucille Mason and brother Jim and wife Joan Ferguson; 15 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren. Eula was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and attended the Cotton Hill Ward. Eula was very active throughout her life as a homemaker, she taught herself to play the piano and organ, and then played at church for the congregation and the choir. She served in many positions in Relief Society, the church’s women’s organization. She enjoyed doing genealogy and worked in the Family History Center in Salem, Virginia of the Church. Family will receive friends Tuesday 5p-8p at Oakey’s South Chapel with funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Cotton Hill Rd.3 She was born on January 8, 1927 at Roanoke, Virginia.1 She married Sanford Reed Bohon Sr., son of Benjamin Harris Bohon Sr. and Vera Minnie Reed, on July 27, 1944 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.1,2,3 As of July 27, 1944,her married name was Bohon. Sanford Reed Bohon Jr. and Cynthia Dawn Woody were divorced on August 8, 1989 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.6 Sanford Reed Bohon Jr. married Cathlene Marie "Cathy" Toler on November 4, 1989 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.7 Sanford Reed Bohon Jr. died on December 15, 2016 at Virginia at age 63.3 He Sanford (Reed) Bohon Jr., 63, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Reed served in the United States Army during Vietnam and retired from PM Transport as a fleet manager. He was preceded in death by his dad, Sanford R. Bohon Sr; and his brother, Jeff Bohon. Survivors include his mother, Eula Bohon; his wife, Cathy Bohon; his son, James Bohon (Cassie); and his stepchildren, Robin Bush, Kenny Toler, Steve Toler (Patricia) and John Toler. Also surviving are his siblings, Roger Bohon (Donna), Elaine Buzzell (Jon), Cindy Forth (Richard) and Darlene Spencer (Randy); seven grandchildren, Christa, Drew, Kyle, Bryan, Malachi, Grace and J.R; one great-grandchild, Ian; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The Bohon family would like to thank Intrepid Hospice Care nurses and The Palliative Care at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for all their care and concern for Reed. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Oakey's South Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. on December 18, 2016.3

He died of natural causes. Born May 20, 1922 in Penrose, WY to Ernest Randolph Werner and Anna Malena Johnson Werner, the oldest child with three brothers and three sisters. Kent married his sweetheart "Pretty Lady" Merlo Nadine Bohon on February 9, 1944, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Kent was an independent businessman in sales and promotions most of his life and enjoyed his business ventures. Kent was an active member of the LDS Church, having served a fulltime mission to the East Central States. A High Priest in the Mountain View 2nd Ward, he enjoyed his many opportunities to serve. Always missionary minded, his Plan of Salvation Chart was a standard missionary tool for all he met or associated with. Kent also served his country during World War II in the army field artillery. He attained the rank of Sergeant. He is survived by his loving wife, his children, Brenda (Phil) Maloy, Bunny (Leland) Myers, Mark (Carin) Werner, Marsha (Chad) Maughan, and Jay (Leslie) Werner; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren with two buns in the oven. Also survived by his special sister, Sally (Lanel) Bachman and brothers, Richard and Edward Werner. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Inez and Ernaleen and one brother, Frank. The family wishes to give special thanks for the loving care received at Wasatch Rehabilitation and Care Source Hospice. Funeral services for Kent will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain View Second Ward, 1400 South 1900 East, Salt Lake City, UT. Friends may call Monday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 P.M., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Tuesday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.      Glenn Arthur Black Glenn Arthur Black joined the Lord on 30 September 2009, leaving one set of loving earthly arms to the great glory of being in the presence of God's all encompassing love. Go in peace and love, Dear Glenn. We love you here. He was born 11 October 1926 in Park City, Utah, the son of Hazel Black Wolford Gardner and Lloyd Black. Glenn served in the United States Navy in the Pacific theater of operations during World War II. He has spent the last five years in Orcutt and would frequently ride his scooter to the Orcutt Library, Golden Donut or Albertsons. His sense of humor and caring brought great joy to many and will be dearly missed by all. Glenn is survived by his devoted and loving wife Maureen Black. They married in June 1985 and he immediately became step-father to Adam and Scott McLean. Glenn helped mold their lives through the adolescent years and into young adult life. Scott, Denise, his wife, and their 3 children, Erica, Peter and Mark were a daily part of Glenn's. The Glenn-Mark bond was unique in their unconditional respect and love for each other. God blessed Glenn during these times as he grew in wisdom and love. Adam from Ponca, Nebraska, made surprise day visits whenever he had free time, often bringing his children Megan, Russell, and Andrew. Glenn has five biological children with his first wife Katheryn Boeman. In the summer of 2007, Maureen and Glenn had the privilege of returning to Logan Utah for a family reunion with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren from first marriage. His son, Mike Black and his wife Karla from Rigby Idaho; their grandchildren Emmylou Court, Max and Crystyna and great grandchild Katelyn Davis. His daughter Pam Stevens from Mesa Arizona and grandchildren Jeff, Greg, Todd and Janae. His son Steve Black and his wife Ruth from Logan Utah and their children Marci Clement, Melanie Hanson, Jake Black, Rebecca Bowden, Sarah, Benjamin and Emily Black. His daughter Tara Johnson and her husband Manuel from Logan Utah and their children Scott, Breanna and Bridger Johnson. His son Jon Black from Gillette Wyoming. Additionally, Glenn had fifteen great grandchildren. Though miles may separate our families, God's love binds us all. A memorial service will be held at the Orcutt Presbyterian Church on 10 October at 1:00 PM. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gold Lee Sowder and Selina C. Sowder. She was a longtime member of the Belmont Baptist Church and of the Learner's Sunday school class. She was a former employee of the Norfolk and Western Railways accounting department with 23 years service. Surviving is her sister, Elsie Mae Sowder of Vinton. Also surviving are numerous cousins, including Kenneth Lee Sowder and Barbara Lois Quinn. Funeral services will be conducted from Belmont Baptist Church at 12 noon Saturday, January 4, 2003, with the Rev. Robert Sowder, assisted by Rev. Carol Mc Cann officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Music Fund of Belmont Baptist Church, 825 Stewart Avenue, SE, Roanoke, Va., 24013.
