M, b. May 1, 1873, d. November 2, 1942
MotherMary J. Poff1,3 b. January 13, 1853, d. December 22, 1900
William Malichi Poff was buried at Poff Cemetery, upper portion of Sugar Run, Giles Co., Virginia.4 He The supposition that Mary J. Poff is William's mother is an educated guess based on the fact that William, born in Floyd Co., listed no father and a mother, Mary Poff on his marriage license. Mary J. Poff seem like the only possibility to be his mother, even though she was enumerated as single and without a child in the 1880 Census. William's death certificate seems to confirm this.3 He and Sabena Jane "Sabannah" Turpin were divorced.3 William Malichi Poff was born on May 1, 1873 at Floyd Co., Virginia.1,5,2 He married Sabena Jane "Sabannah" Turpin on September 1, 1897 at Pulaski Co., Virginia.1,3 William Malichi Poff died on November 2, 1942 at Thessalia, Giles Co., Virginia, at age 69.3
