     Almeda Poff was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.4 She was born on January 27, 1909 at Bent Mountain, Roanoke Co., Virginia.8,4 She married Clyde Geter Bohon on April 1, 1939 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.8,4,9,10 As of April 1, 1939,her married name was Bohon.10 Almeda Poff died on November 17, 2009 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 100.4 She Almeda Poff Bohon, of Roanoke, Va., went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. She was born on January 27, 1909, on Bent Mountain and lived there for 95 years before moving in Elm Park Estates and Loyalton Assisted Living in Roanoke. She was the oldest living member of Copper Hill Church of the Brethren. She was one of 11 children born to Samuel and Burchie Poff. She married Clyde Bohon in 1939 and together they managed a successful store and fuel oil business. Although they had no children, they had many special nieces and nephews. At her 100th birthday celebration in January, all agreed that Almeda was the glue that held the family together. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; two sisters; seven brothers; and several much loved nieces and nephews. Surviving to cherish her memory are a sister, Perdine Manning, of Bent Mountain; and sisters-in-law, Lela Poff, of Salem, Va., and Marie Roberts, of Salem, Va; along with numerous dear nephews and nieces. Faithful caretakers include nephew, Basil Graham (Evelyn); her long-time friend and "sister," Ruby Stone; and "granddaughter," Dana DeWitt. Almeda will long be remembered by her family, friends and neighbors for her work ethic and sharp mind. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009, at Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor Paris Bain and Pastor Maurice Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 19, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel. For those who desire, contributions may be made to General Shepherd Hospice, 6045 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Va. 24017 or Copper Hill Church of the Brethren, 8836 Floyd Hwy. She was a charter member of Bethany Christian Church and worked as an inspector at the Roanoke Box Company. Survivors include her daughter, Judith Holliday Alverides; son-in-law, Louis Nicholas Alverides; granddaughters, Teresa (Tracy) Alverides, Dana Alverides Sowell; grandson, Gregory Alverides and wife, Jana; great-grandson, Louis Alverides, greatgranddaughters, Chelsea Alverides, Samantha Sowell, Sabrina Sowell; sisters, Almeda Poff Bohon and Perdine Poff Manning and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. on December 9, 2007.5

Manning Jr. and wife, Donna, of Moneta; her grandchildren, Randy Wimmer and wife, Rosy, Melanie Manning DeLong and husband, Richard, William Hicks and wife, Connie, Patsy Dodd and husband, Larry; eight great- grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; a sister-in-law, Lelia Poff, of Salem. A Service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Oakey's South Chapel, with Pastor Mike Anderson and Willie Green officiating. Interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2012, at Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131. on February 3, 2012.7

She is also survived by her sister, Doris Caldwell and a host of nieces and nephews. Libby was a member of North Roanoke Baptist Church. She loved Gaither music and blessed many with her talents of singing and playing the piano. She also had a passion for the elderly and spent many years working and caring for others. Most recently, you would find Libby with her smiling face at the gates of the Salem Red Sox. She was known for her wonderful home-cooked meals which were enjoyed by all who knew her. Libby will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Sunday, October 16, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Darryl Crim officiating. Visitors will be received by the family an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, Libby requested that donations be made to the Crohn's Foundation, 386 Park Avenue South, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10016 or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation , P. O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309. on October 15, 2011.1

Manning, Jr. and wife, Mina,(yes, Mina) Glenn J. Manning, Wilbert I. Manning and wife, Faye, all of Roanoke, Alton Manning and wife, Olivia of Graham, NC; her sisters-in-law, Almeda Bohon, Perdine Manning, both of Bent Mountain, Ada Holliday of Tennessee. A funeral service will be held at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Thursday, April 18, 2002, 3 p.m. with the Rev. James Worline officiating. Interment in Restvale Cemetery. Poff and wife, Sue, of Copper Hill, and Michael D. Poff, of Salem; daughters, Charlotte P. Austin, of Pilot and Shelby P. Davis and spouse, Richard Ferris, of Salem. Lela is also survived by nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to both the staff of 2-East at Richfield Recovery and Care Center led by Teresa, Paula, and Courtney as well as the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for their unwavering support to the family during this difficult time. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. And a funeral service to celebrate the life of Lela DeWeese Poff will then begin at 3 p.m. with Deacon Houston DeWeese officiating. Mommy will be laid to rest beside Daddy in the Rest Vale Cemetery, Copper Hill. on July 17, 2013.4
