In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Melba (Joey) McGhee, sisters Hursle Vest (Howard), Juanita Alderman (Falous), Thelma Price (Carl), Ella Ruth Webb (Joseph) and Mary Emma Bower. Brothers Guy Elliott Bower (Laura), Lester K. Bower (Edna), Arthur Bower, Jr. (Martha G), William T. Bower (Evelyn), and Edward L. Bower (Arlette). She is survived by daughters, Pamela Cooper (Ronnie) and Deborah Hogston (Don). Also survived by grandchildren Angela C. Williams (Donald), Chad E. Hogston (Erin), Cory McGhee (Jennifer) and Chad McGhee (Deena). Also surviving is her son-in-law, Glenn McGhee, along with great-grandchildren, Ava McGhee and Madeline McGhee, Wyatt Hogston and Levi Hogston. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Kitty loved to bowl, play softball, play cards, fishing and shopping. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Roanoke, Va. A special thanks to the staff of the Memory Care Unit, Friendship Nursing Home, Roanoke, Va, and Good Samaritan Hospice.
