Lowell was employed by Shenandoah Industrial Rubber Company in Roanoke. He was a much loved and well respected servant of his community, an active member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and retired after 25 years of service with Bent Mountain Fire & Rescue. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday August 1, 2007 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Copper Hill, with the Rev. Greg Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery, Floyd.
