Snopkowski, 83, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Stuarts Draft Christian Home. He was born in Dupont, Pennsylvania, on March 13, 1931, son of the late William and Mary (Skiba) Snopkowski. He retired from General Electric after 31 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 43 years, Loretta (Elmore) Snopkowski; a son, Kevin A. Snopkowski; and a daughter, Sharon Marie Snopkowski. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Karen Rinehart and husband, Steve, Robert Snopkowski and wife, Cynthia (Simmons), Kathryn Wallace and husband, Jeff, Patricia Phillips and husband, Michael, Paul Snopkowski, and Carol Baldwin and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Courtney Peterson and husband, Rob, Tyler Snopkowski and wife, Katie, Drake Wade and wife, Rachel, Kori Wade and wife, Briana, Kyle Wade and wife, Melissa, and Chase and Brodie Phillips; great grandchildren, Jackson and Kaya Wade, Easton Wade, Brayden Peterson, and Alina and Hunter Snopkowski; niece, Donna Cottone; nephew, Joseph Cottone; and great nephew, Joseph Cottone, Jr. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro. A private burial will take place at Augusta Memorial Park. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of HOPE, Hospice, and the Meadows for taking such loving care of our Dad. They also wish to thank the Ciro's family, for being a part of his life as a second family for many years.
