While in Chicago, many of her cases were with Dr. Clark Huggins, who won a Nobel Prize for extensive research in prostate cancer. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Cecil B. and Anna Brown Butler; her first husband of 53 years: William Bruffie Connor; her second husband of eight years: William Doak Ramsey; her daughter: Elizabeth Jane Connor; and two brothers: Minnis C. Butler and James A. Butler. She is survived by a stepdaughter and her husband: Ella and Gary Durr of Mansfield, Texas; and special friends: Dr. Walter “Skip” Mason and Carolyn Isaacs. She wrote: “Many thanks to my special daughter; even though she was a step, she was my love as well as her husband, Ella Joyce Ramsey Durr and Gary Durr.” on March 14, 2017.3

Wimmer and William King, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lake and Mary; and brothers, Henry, Herman, Otha and Raymond. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Donna Lois Martin King; son and wife, Carl (Wayne) and Pamela Hart King; grandson and wife, Michael (Mickey) Wayne King and Joni Way King; grandson, Jonathan (Jon) Phillip King; much loved greatgrandchildren, Ashton Michael King and Peyton Ann King; a sister, Maude K. Conner; and sister-in-law, Evelyn V. King. He is survived by a very special sister-in-law, Lena McAlexander and husband, Archie; as well as numerous other sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by special neighbors, Lewis and Dorothy Meredith, and other special friends and neighbors. The family wishes to thank the Christiansburg Rescue Squad for their compassion and service, and the physicians and staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital for their care and many kindnesses. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. on October 12, 2007.3

Born December 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Laverna Connor Hutchens. Ellsworth spent his working years in the mining industry before becoming disabled. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Eva P. Hutchens, an infant brother and sisters Pemel Lilly, Viada Lilly, Delores Barton, and Reva Hewitt. Those left to cherish his memory are daughters Sharon Hutchens Lowe of Poca, WV, Sandra Hutchens Nichols and Melissa Hutchens Lilly of Graniteville, SC, sons Edward L. Hutchens of Lexington, KY and Russell R. Hutchens of Demorest, GA, sisters Alice Delp of Beckley, WV, and Christalee Lynn of Salem, VA, brothers Roy Hutchens and John Hutchens of Waynesboro, VA, 13 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. At Mr. Hutchens request he will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date at the family cemetery. on July 8, 2016.6
