Mrs. Poff is survived by two sons, Mike and his wife Arlene, of Asheville, North Carolina, Phillip and his wife Jane, of Rocky Mount, Virginia; a daughter, Lisa Oliver and her husband David, of Salem; one brother, James (Buster) Wesley Conner and his wife Bonnie, of Roanoke. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Clayton, Wesley and Hannah Lee Oliver, Salem; two greatgrandchildren, Chad and Rachael Poff, Atlanta, Georgia; two stepgrandchildren, Emily Pierce of Southeast Asia and Jennifer Little of Wayne, New Jersey; and adopted grandchildren, Elizabeth Craighead, Braden and Bryn Burns of Salem. Also surviving are many beloved nieces and nephews. Her care and concern for those experiencing distress in their lives were beyond comparison and she will be sorely missed, as will her sense of humor. Many lives have been touched by the generosity and graciousness of Mrs. Poff. She was a beautician for several years and said she enjoyed her work because of the friendships formed, most of which lasted for the remainder of her life. The love and dedication she displayed as a grandmother were immeasurable; no task, request or even crisis ever went unanswered. She was a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Oakey's South Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday, April 4, 2007, between the hours of 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Oakey's. Art Wingfield, Pastor Emeritus of Cave Spring Methodist Church, will conduct the funeral services from the graveside at Sherwood Memorial Park on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 3959 Electric Road, Roanoke 24018. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 989-3131. on April 4, 2007.2
