She was the daughter of the late Irvin and Thelma Wertz. Iris was a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Everett Palmer; son, Lyle Thomas Palmer; brother, Price Eugene Wertz. Iris is survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Oakey's South Chapel. Interment will be private. on June 16, 2015.2

Merritt, a member of the Covington Baptist Church, the Progressive Ladies Bible Class and the Margie Shumate Circle of the Church. She is survived by a son, Wallace, at home, a daughter, Mrs. William A. Taylor, 604 Marion Street; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were: William A. Taylor Jr., Harry S. Slough, Harold B. Dressler, Franklin Rayburn Alfred, Paul Davis Jr. and Peter Byers. Members of her Bible Class and circle and other friends were honorary pallbearers. on September 2, 1958.7

As of circa 1909,her married name was Puckett.4 Mollie Donnally married Floyd Puckett circa 1909.4 Mollie Donnally died on May 16, 1960 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 86.2,3 She Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Puckett, 89, Springdale, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, East Rainelle, with the Rev. Fred Cline in charge. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, Va. Mrs. Puckett died in a Beckley hospital Monday after a long illness. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Springdale. Born in Greenbrier County, she was a daughter of the late John and Rebecca Hinkle Donnelly. Survivors include two sons, W. D. Crowder of Beckley and Joe Crowder of Belle; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The body will remain at the funeral home. on May 18, 1960.3

Lee Byer, Melbourne, Fla. and Frank Byer, Clifton Forge; two sisters, Mrs. Aden Carson, Snake Run and Mrs. Withrow Hubbard, Indian Draft. Interment will be in Cedar Hill. Active pallbearers will be Charlie Dovers, Grover Chinault, Lawrence Wolfe, Joe Braden, Herman Armentrout, T. B. Ludington, Haven Arritt and Harry Arritt. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbor of the family attending the service. on November 1, 1957.4
