Medical Center of Charlottesville, Va. He was born in Roanoke July 29, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian Hezekiah Wickham and Louise Conner Wickham and his brother, Christian H. Wickham, Jr. He served in the Navy with active duty beginning February 1947 and serving until July 1950 and graduated from National Business College in December 1952. He continued to be a hard worker and founded Skyline Paint & Hardware, Inc. in 1955 (currently Skyline Door & Hardware, Inc.) He served as President of the Old Dominion Chapter of the Door and Hardware Institute and he previously served on the Board of Salem Bank and Trust. He was a member of Windsor Hills Baptist Church and served as a Deacon and previously as Finance Chairman. Surviving are a loving wife of fifty years, Evelyn Wickham; a daughter and her husband, Carolyn and Walter Hare of Roanoke; a son and his wife, James (Jimmy) and Karen Wickham of Cloverdale; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Stephanie and William Hare, Scott, Myles and Kristen Wickham. He is also survived by six sisters, Marie Martin and her husband, Robert, Christine Martin, Betty Stanley and her husband, Coy, Mary Alice Smith, Nellie Childress, Anne Clark and her husband, Carlton. He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Barbara Wickham; one aunt, Elva Eary; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and three special friends, Giles Childress, Jimmy Dillon and Lonnie Pratt. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's South Chapel on Wednesday, October 30, 2002, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. C. Lawrence Dodson and the Rev. Ron Sutherland officiating. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 4504 Starkey Road, Suite #115, Roanoke, Va. 24014 or to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 643 Orchard View Lane, Roanoke, Va. 24018.      Irma Catherine Howell was buried at Sunset Cemetery, North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^6,3,5 She CHRISTIANSBURG - Mrs. Irma Catherine Poff, age 50, of Christiansburg, died Friday in a Roanoke hospital. She is survived by her husband, Victor B. Poff; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Peggy) Beeken, Christiansburg; her mother, Mrs. Margia Howell, Radford; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Wimmer, Christiansburg; one brother, Grover O. Howell, Dublin; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday from the St. Pauls United Methodist Church by Rev. J. F. Carroll. Internment will be in Sunset cemetery.³ She was born on March 15, 1923 at Radford, Virginia.^6,5 She married Victor Boone Poff, son of Guy William Poff and Ella Ree Boone, on September 18, 1939 at Pulaski Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,5,7 As of September 18, 1939,her married name was Poff.      Henry Loving Book was buried at Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia.² He Henry L. Book joined the Confederate States Army May 15, 1861 and took part in the Battle of Gettsyburg in July of 1863. He was with the 28th Virginia Regiment Infantry, which was part of Pickett's Division. He was either killed on the battle site, or died later in the day. His body was brought back to Virginia and buried in the Hollywood Cemetery, a large Confederate burial site in Richmond, Virginia. His widow later married Clifton Elmore, her first cousin. Clifton raised Mary and Henry's son, William, but it is not known what happened to the older son, Frank. Occupation: mechanic Widow: Mary Book.³ He was born on September 26, 1839 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,2 He married Mary Ann Elizabeth Elmore, daughter of Joel Brownlon/Brownlew Elmore and Sarah Catherine "Katy" Paxton, in May, 1859 at New Castle, Craig Co., Virginia; It appears that the marriage record was destroyed when the Craig County Court House was burned by the Union Army during the Civil War.^4,2 Henry Loving Book died on July 3, 1863 at Gettysburg, Adams Co., Pennsylvania, at age 23.^1,4,2

     George Franklin L. "Frank" Book was born on May 24, 1860 at New Castle, Craig Co., Virginia.³ He Not enumerated with his mother in the 1870 Craig Co. Virginia Census. on June 15, 1870.⁴

     Florris Uneda "Jean" Sutphin was buried at Sunset Cemetery, North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.² She was born on April 16, 1926 at Willis, Floyd Co., Virginia. She married Norman Wade Eanes, son of James Abraham "Jim" Eanes and Elizabeth Hannah "Lizzie" Wade, on March 20, 1946.² As of March 20, 1946,her married name was Eanes. Florris Uneda "Jean" Sutphin married Victor Boone Poff, son of Guy William Poff and Ella Ree Boone, on April 9, 1975 at Moneta, Bedford Co., Virginia.^1,2 As of April 9, 1975,her married name was Poff.¹ Florris Uneda "Jean" Sutphin died on February 4, 2019 at Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 92.² She Florris (Jean) Sutphin Eanes Poff, 92, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 4, 2019, with her daughters at her bedside. Jean was a wonderful homemaker and mother that always put her family above herself. She was a three time cancer survivor. Jean actively volunteered with the American Cancer Society, collecting donations for Relay for Life for many years. She loved gardening, listening to music and was an avid dancer. Jean also volunteered at the Montgomery County Christmas Store, and was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church until her health declined. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Wade Eanes; second husband, Victor Boone Poff; three sisters; and seven brothers; and a step-son, Norman A. Eanes. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Eanes Orren (Bob), Shirlene Eanes Long (Buford), Rebecca Eanes Beasley; grandchildren, Michael Bishop, Brian Long (Michelle), Robbie Long (Amanda), Brandon Beasley, Brad Beasley, Kenny Eanes (Doris), Connie Keene; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Wayne Sutphin, Patty Stanley (Ray); step-daughter-in-law, Doris Eanes; numerous nieces and nephews; her longtime special friend and caregiver, Charlotte Epperly; as well as caregivers, Susan, Eva, Angela, Melissa, and Sandra. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Lee Sarver officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. on February 5, 2019.²
