Bonita Deane "Bonnie" Ferguson Bonita Deane Yeatts, Sep 25, 1946 - Oct 20, 2024. Bonita “Bonnie” Yeatts, 78, of Blacksburg, Va., formerly of Salem, passed away on October 20, 2024, after a long-fought battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas “Wayne” Yeatts; and parents, Paul and Deane Ferguson. Her happiest days were spent with children including those she taught at Tabernacle Baptist Preschool and her grandchildren, her life’s greatest blessings. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Melissa (Greg) Vaden, and Brad (Laura) Yeatts; four grandchildren, Taylor Vaden, Evan Yeatts, Claire Yeatts and Thomas Yeatts; brother, David (Karen) Ferguson; brother-in-law and sister-in laws, Lowell (Dorma) Yeatts, Lois (Danny) Board; along with numerous other family members, close friends, former neighbors, grand-dogs, and many others who had the great fortune of knowing her. Graveside service at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Roanoke where she and her late husband, Wayne, will be laid to rest together.3 She was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N. W., Roanoke, Virginia.3 She was born on September 25, 1946 at Washington, D.C..2,3 She married Thomas Wayne Yeatts, son of Thomas Lewis "Tommy" Yeatts and Helen Gertrude Kelley, on December 24, 1965 at Copper Hill, Floyd Co., Virginia.1,2,3 As of December 24, 1965,her married name was Yeatts.2 Bonita Deane "Bonnie" Ferguson died on October 20, 2024 at Blacksburg, Virginia, at age 78.3

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Kelley Yeatts, his father, Tommy Yeatts, and two brothers, Albert "Buck" Yeatts and Thomas Wayne Yeatts. Remaining to cherish his memory are his brother, Lowell Yeatts and his wife, Dorma; his sister, Lois Ann Board and her husband, Daniel; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Yeatts and Suzanne Yeatts; niece and caregiver, Kelly Yeatts; numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends. Roger was a graduate of Virginia Tech and spent his professional life in retail. He loved his colleagues from his various stops over the years including K-Mart, Lowes, and Home Depot. However, his real passion was farming and spending time with his cattle for many years. During the last years of his life, he fought numerous health battles with the help of a strong medical team, home health nurses and therapists, and a loving family. The family wishes to thank both the Floyd County Rescue Squad for their multiple efforts on Roger's behalf and the Homer Fund from Home Depot for their support at the start of Roger's health issues. Graveside services will take place at Restvale Cemetery. on December 8, 2021.2

Iva Mae Dobbins was buried at Jacksonville Burial Ground, Rt. 8, 0.25 miles south of Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.3,7 She was born on August 3, 1927 at Floyd Co., Virginia.2,7,4 She married Fred Lewis Bower on April 19, 1947 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.2,3 As of April 19, 1947,her married name was Bower. Iva Mae Dobbins died on September 30, 2014 at Virginia at age 87.3,7 She Iva Mae Bower, 87, of Floyd, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Lula Mae Dobbins. She was predeceased by her sister, Ada Basham; and brother, Carl Dobbins. She also was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Fred Lewis Bower. She worked hard all her life, and was a devoted mother. She was known as an excellent cook and she loved her cats. She also enjoyed her neighbors and loved to share old timey ways with them. Left to treasure her memory are her children: Calvin Bower and wife, Mary of Salem, Ginger B. Conner of Virginia Beach, G.G. Bower and fiance, Mary Owens of Floyd. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jessica Bean and husband, J.C. of Roanoke, David Stump and wife, Lisa of Moneta, Teresa Basham and husband, Dikki of Salem, along with Katrina Conner, Samuel Conner, & Benjamin Conner all of Virginia Beach. She had four great grandchildren, Peyton James McGrady and Delia Rose Bean of Roanoke and Michael and Stephanie Stump of Moneta. Also treasuring her memory is her "very special friend" and companion, Bud Lorleberg of Floyd who brought love and laughter into her life for 14 years. Her children can never thank him enough for caring for their mom. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. on October 3, 2014.3
